Arduino in Action: Build, Code, Move! / Ages 8+

Start with your brainpower and finish with a bang! In this physical computing camp, apprentices combine coding with a series of other STEM activities to bring their programming skills into action!
It’s all about connecting the digital world and the real world. The goal? Create a motion-sensor machine that can launch an object, play a game or simply say “hello”. To get there, apprentices will learn to code an Arduino microcontroller, and connect it to a device they’ve built using electrical engineering and fabrication skills. Come and see how far your skills can go – literally!

STEAM Goes Medieval: Creating Castles & Catapults / Ages 8+

Incoming! In this camp, Apprentices will become engineers as they work in teams to build the strongest catapult and tallest tower that they can. To conquer the challenge, they'll learn about levers and mechanical advantage, building techniques and balance. As well as becoming masterful engineers, they’ll tap into their creative side and make colorful birds and mascots to launch from the catapult. On the last day, teams will face off to try and knock down their opponents' towers before their tower is tumbled, too!

Lightbulb Moment: Making a 3D Printed Lamp / Ages 8+

It’s time for bright ideas! In this camp, Apprentices will work with key STEAM skills to create their own RGB lamp. Using a combination of coding, 3D modeling, 3D printing, and circuit-building, they’ll plan, design, and build a creation straight out of their imagination. During this camp, they’ll take their builds all the way from a pen-and-paper concept to a fully functional light feature, which they can proudly bring home at the end of the week. Let’s get building!

The Art of Games: Plan, Make, Play . Ages 5+

Art history meets game strategy in this camp. Steamoji Junior Apprentices (ages 5-7) will invent and build their own art-inspired mini-games, merging artistic skills with critical thinking to combine the gallery with the game world.
Every day is a creative bonanza where their imaginations set the scene and game design brings the structure, resulting in a collection of fun games that they’ve plotted and crafted themselves.
From pens and markers to sculpting and LED lights, Apprentices will use classic and contemporary design principles as a springboard for their own unique artwork. It’s a place where math and art meet up to make magic. So – who’s ready to play?!

PA Day Little Engineers: Marble Chain Reaction Builders / Ages 5+

Join us for a fun-filled 1-day engineering adventure designed especially for young builders. In this playful hands-on camp, children will work together to create exciting marble chain reaction tracks using ramps, tubes, spinners, and colorful building pieces. Campers will explore beginner engineering ideas like movement, gravity, and cause-and-effect through guided, age-appropriate challenges. Along the way, they’ll practice counting, planning, teamwork, and creative problem-solving in a supportive environment. Every child will get to test their creation and celebrate as their marble rolls through the final chain reaction. Campers will leave proud of what they built and excited about engineering.

Marble Run Madness: Design and Engineer / Ages 8+

Loops! Jumps! Hair-pin bends! What's the most exciting roller coaster you can imagine? Now come and come build it. In this camp, apprentices join a team of like-minded engineers to dream up, design and construct a twisty downhill run. They'll turn cardboard, paper, straws and other household materials into a roller coaster... for marbles! Apprentices will learn every step of the design process as they research, prototype, test and assemble their marble run. By the end of the week they'll have built a fascinating, gravity-defying structure, that combines creativity with their new engineering skills. Let's Get Building!

Meet Spencer - your new talkative buddy that lights up when it sees you, answers your questions and even has a joke ready when you want a laugh!
Kids will learn everything they need to know to turn a pile of parts into their very own customized voice assistant that they'll take home at the end of the week:
- Learn building skills such as soldering and parts assembly
- Code your voice assistant using Python
- Find out about the “internet of things”
- Fabricate your own 3D printed parts to personalize your new pal
- Solve problems and share ideas with other makers

Battle Bots: Engineer, Code, Compete! / Ages 8+

Push, pull, lift or flip your opponent's robot out of the arena to claim victory and become the Steamoji Robo Battle Master! In this week-long camp, you’ll combine a whole suite of STEAM skills to design, prototype, code and build your very own battle robot that will face off against your fellow campers at the end of the week.

- Coding - Code a Micro:bit microcontroller as the “brain” of your battle bot
- Engineering - Planning, prototyping, evaluating and improving
- 3D Printing - Use 3D design and printing to make additional components for your robot

Robotics Challenge Day: Build, Test, Compete! / Ages 8+

Get ready for a robotics adventure! In this hands-on robotics camp, kids will jump into the world of coding and robotics with VEX Go kits. They will dream up designs, put their creations to the test, and take on exciting challenges like obstacle courses, delivery missions, and mini-competitions. It’s a day full of building, tinkering, and testing where creativity meets problem-solving. Campers will walk away with new skills, new friends, and the thrill of seeing their robots come to life!

PA Day Maker Challenge: From Idea to Creation / Ages 10+

Join us for an exciting 1-day hands-on maker camp where creativity meets technology. In this interactive challenge, participants will take their ideas from concept to creation using 3D design and 3D printing. Campers will learn how to design their own objects digitally and bring them to life using real 3D printers. Along the way, they’ll explore engineering, fabrication, and creative problem-solving while working in a safe, guided environment.
They’ll practice planning, teamwork, and critical thinking as they build, test, and refine their designs. From brainstorming to final print, every part of the day is designed to spark innovation and confidence. Campers will take home their custom 3D-printed creations and a huge sense of accomplishment.

VEX ROBOTICS (PM) / Ages 10-14
Robotics provides a fun and powerful way to teach children about coding and how it can help us solve problems and shape the world we live in.
This exciting camp for 10-14 years old will develop their skills as coders and roboticists. Apprentices will code, build and test their robots across several projects before combining their new skills to compete in challenges against other machines.
PHYSICAL COMPUTING WITH MICROCONTROLLERS (PM) / Ages 10-14
Microcontrollers like micro:bits and circuit boards are useful tools for teaching apprentices how to use their devices to manipulate and control real world objects.
This exciting camp for 10-14 years old will develop their skills as coders and roboticists as they develop a robot that has expanded intelligence and is able to navigate an obstacle course on its own.
